For a horse or rabbit owner, the gift they will treasure has the animal's own face and name on it. A photo mug or a photo ornament is the easy choice, a photo print suits the rider who has had the same horse for years, and a Gotcha Day print works for a rescue rabbit without needing a photo. Everything below is printed to order in the UK.
In short:
- For a rider or horse owner: the Horse Photo Mug with Name, or the Horse Photo Print for the wall.
- For a rabbit owner: the Rabbit Photo Mug with Name.
- For the tree: the horse and rabbit photo ornaments, below.
Not every pet is a dog or a cat
Horse and rabbit owners are just as attached to their animals. The pieces below are made for them: each one carries the horse's, pony's or rabbit's own name.
All you need is a good photo and the name, spelt the way the owner spells it. A show name and a stable name can be different, so use the one they actually call out across the field.
For horse and pony owners
The horse photo mug
The Personalised Horse Photo Mug with Name is for the first cup of tea after the morning muck-out. The photo sits in a round frame with a sand keyline, with the horse's or pony's name in forest green serif beneath (up to 15 characters) and an optional caption in terracotta small capitals (up to 30). It is printed on both sides of an 11oz white ceramic mug, dishwasher and microwave safe.
It suits a rider, an owner, a sharer, or a parent who spends every Saturday at the yard.
The horse photo print
The Personalised Horse Photo Print with Name puts the horse on the wall of the house rather than the phone. Add the name (up to 20 characters) and an optional line (up to 40), such as the year they came home or a show name. It is printed on 220gsm smooth matte fine-art paper with a wide printed cream border and a thin keyline, the name in serif and the line in terracotta small capitals beneath, in 12 x 16 in (30.5 x 40.6 cm) or 8 x 12 in (20.3 x 30.5 cm), supplied unframed.
It suits a rider of any age, from the pony-mad child to the owner who has kept the same horse for twenty years. The print needs a larger photo than the mug: at least 1,439 pixels on its shorter side.
The horse on the tree
The Personalised Horse Photo Christmas Ornament with Name prints the photo in a circle on a round ceramic ornament 7.5 cm across, with the name curving along the base (up to 15 characters) and the year just above it if you add it. The same design is printed on both sides, and it comes with a red ribbon for hanging. It makes a Christmas present for a friend from the yard as well as for the owner. It is a decoration, not a toy.
For rabbit owners
The rabbit photo mug
The Personalised Rabbit Photo Mug with Name is for the household that is run by a rabbit. The photo sits in a round frame with a sand keyline, the name in forest green serif beneath (up to 15 characters) and an optional caption in terracotta small capitals (up to 30). It is printed on both sides of an 11oz white ceramic mug, dishwasher and microwave safe.
The rabbit on the tree
There is a matching Rabbit Photo Christmas Ornament with Name: a round ceramic ornament 7.5 cm across with the photo in a circle, the name curving along the base and the year just above it, printed on both sides, with a red ribbon. For a child who owns a rabbit, it gives the rabbit a place on the family tree. A grown-up should choose the photo for younger owners.
A rescue rabbit: the Gotcha Day print
If the rabbit was adopted, the Gotcha Day print in our For Pet Parents collection marks the day they came home. There is no photo to choose, so it works for a rabbit or a guinea pig as well as a dog or a cat. It takes the pet's name, the date they came home and, if you like, the rescue they came from.
Taking a photo that prints well
The photo matters more than anything else on these gifts. A few tips for each animal:
- Horses and ponies: a head-and-shoulders photo over the stable door or the field gate, taken in daylight, prints best. Keep the face near the middle of the frame.
- Rabbits: get down to their eye level, on the lawn or in the run, in good daylight. The frames are round, so leave a little space around the ears.
- Both: use the original file from your phone or camera, not a copy saved from social media or a messaging app. The product page checks the photo as you upload it.

Before you order
- Check the animal's name with the owner, or with someone who knows. We print your wording as you type it, some designs set a line in capital letters, and we do not send proofs. Our FAQ explains how personalisation works.
- Each piece is printed to order in 2 to 5 working days and then sent tracked. Delivery times are on our Delivery page, and for Christmas, check our Christmas order deadlines page before you order.
